Does everyone need to power on your Mavic Pro before putting on a filter

I bought the set of 3 filters made by Digital Concepts (Sakar) for the MP, but you cannot put the filters on before powering up because the filter will hit the gimble on power up.

Is this the same on all other brands of filters? Or is there a brand out there that doesn't have this issue?

No, most don't. Those that do haven't done much research to offer a decently suitable product. Have both the DJI and Taco myself. DJI ND16 lives on the camera permanently lately.

I use PolarPro ND filters, and they do not affect the gimbal calibration movement at startup.

I first bought a set of Neewer and with those I had to be powered up first. I quickly realized that wasn't for me and bought a set of Polar Pro Cinematic Series filters that can be left on when powering up.

You can find a list of commonly used Mavic filters here. All of the listed filters can be attached while the Mavic is powered down.
