Does the controller auto takeoff button work for takeoff and landing or just landing

During spin up of the props, I press the controller button for "auto-takeoff" and nothing happens. Pressing the "screen" auto-takeoff button does however work........ Later in the flight, pressing the controller RTH button does indeed work.

There is no “takeoff” button on the controller. That’s the Pause/RTH button.
