Does the DJI Mavic 2 Pro Have whatever Antenna is required to have Remote ID?

If it's not on FAA doc it's Not compliant in FAA's world. The NPRM for RID came out in 2001. It's shouldnt be a surprise for mfg's or users. However, I'm stuck like everyone else waiting for a strap on RID for my older DJI Inspire aircraft. Fortunately, I can still fly my mavic 4 pro cine to make money while I wait for stock of RID. I was hopeful the FAA would delay the Sept 15th compliant date, due to lake if stock, but that doesn't look like it is going to happen.

I guess you don't have to do the RID firmware update when it comes out. But I don't see it as a bad thing since you won't need to buy an external RID module. I see that as a plus, not a disappointing thing. But that's just me.
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Don't install the update. By now with all of the updates applied in the past, completed, the potential firmware issues remaining requiring 'fixes' needing to be applied to any Mavic 2 Pro devices, should be far and few between ... basically not needed at all. It runs VERY well as it is currently. Just leave it be.

Back in Mid August I made an inquiry to the FAA UAS Support Center communicating the concerns that many of us have here and how due to being hamstrung by DJI we will need to ground our aircraft until the RID modules are backfilled or DJI comes through at the last minute. I work in insurance for my company's claim department and run a small 12 operator UAS (who all fly Mavic 2 Pros) program and we are heading into what will likely continue to be an active hurricane season in which we would heavily rely on our drones for property inspection.

This is what the FAA replied back with:
"14 CFR Part 89 does not contain any waivable provisions. However, please monitor the FAA website and our social media for soon-to-be-released guidance."

Also, this is the most recent feedback I've heard on the webs as this youtuber received similar but more a more recent response from the FAA UAS Support Center:

*The timing of this is rough because we are finally getting traction with the old guard of our company to see the technological advantages UAS usage in our current workflows bring in quality, efficiency, and safety.

Yea I wish they would delay due to non available of strap on devices availability. Here is the current list from FAA sorted on DJI product. It looks like they started with series "3" and up No "2's".

The guy you can write or call directly is John Picciano. He is lead on RID with FAA. you can google him. I place my order (back ordered) today and hope to see RID by October. starting Sept 15th my Inspires are grounded.
There is an Air 2s

I've seen some youtubes videos stating the FAA is going to delay RID. However , I spoke to some regional FAAsafety managers to see if they could collaborate. They informed me its still on for Sept 16th. Will see?

I want to protect my existing MAVIC 2 software so I decided to pay $90 (discounted to $71 right now with RID20OFF code at Amazon) for a Holy Stone module. That seems to take care of the RID issue for me after I register the RID module with the FAA, and the cost is a reasonable compliance "fee" for me. Now I don't have to take a chance of DJI messing with my OS using an "update", and the module can be used on multiple drones if needed. I haven't received the module yet but it appears to be a neat little bugger which serves nicely as a solution to the March 2024 deadline.
