Does UV index matter to the drone at all? Or is that just a reminder for me?

i would think it is a warning for you to use a good sunscreen and wear a hat, what you have to remember when flying you are mostly in the sun for a considerable time, and you can get sunburnt very easily without even realising it as you fly around, obviously a shaded place would be good ,but it also has an impact on the signal between the RC and AC if the drone goes behind you

I have flew when it was high just to see if it did make a difference
and it did not for me at all . Some swear by it but I pay it no mind.

Just wipe the drone down with a sunscreen of at least an SBF of 55
slop in plenty at the vents as well, that is where it is most vulnerable

Are you perhaps talking about KP index, rather than UV index? I was unaware that anyone cared about the UV index, except for sunburn.

I suppose UV can damage the plastic, long term. But i think it’s mainly for people, to put on and sunscreen to avoid sunburn or stay in shade.

I'm thinkin 100 SPF, the waterproof kind.
