Greetings from Birmingham Alabama USA, welcome to the forum! We look forward to hearing from you!

I would not let them charge no more than a couple of hours.

does the Drone have telemetry to tell you the batteries voltage? If so put the Battery on the charger for 1 hour then place it in the drone and see what the charge is---Adjust accordingly.

Interesting choice ! Some reviews of it rate it as fairly stable and a good machine to learn on, others... not so much ! It will be interesting to see how you get on with it. Early advice would be - calibrate that gyro every time you take off and the wind is very much your enemy !

I started my 10 year hobby with a similarly cheap'n'cheerful helicopter that would mostly fly itself into trees and bushes, and it didn't put me off !! :)

Howdy fellow Texan from the Houston area. how much flying time do you get on a battery? I would charge them, as mentioned above, for a couple of hours and see how much flying time you get. then bump the charge time up in 30 minute increments untill you have reached maximum flying time. Where in TX are you?

Welcome from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, USA. We have a Member's Map in the Upper Right of the Title Bar. Click on "Members" and then Click on "Member's Map…" Check it out and you might find some new flying friends.

As a New Drone Pilot, there are a couple of Legal Things you may need to do…

If you have not already done so, you will need to get your TRUST Certificate. You can get that at the Pilot Institute Web Site (FREE…). If your Drone weighs more than 250-grams (0.55 pounds), and even while you are flying under The Exception for Recreational Flyers, you are required to register your Drone.

Since you live in Texas, there are specific laws and rules for you to follow, please check the link below for all the Rules and Laws that are in effect in your neck of the woods and it also links you to some of the Best Places to Fly in your area… Also, if you travel on vacation, visit friends, and relatives in other parts of the country, check back here so you do not run afoul of the law.

Welcome to the forum. I am not familiar with your drone or battery, but it is always wise to attend to your battery charging. We look forward to your participation and view of the world.
