Drone died during firmware update

Yes, It was!

Try booting up the drone.

It should continue the update after a restart. Minimally, it should retain the existing firmware and continue to operate until the next update. I would agree that you should restart your drone. If connected to the PC, you should see the update status percentage and it could either continue from that point or re-initiate from scratch.

It's extremely rare to brick a Mavic due to an interruption during a firmware upgrade.
