It seems to me that NJ is not a Drone friendly state. Is there any place other than private property where you can fly a Drone in NJ ? Il will add to this.
I am thinking NJ is so Drone crazy for two main reasons.

#1Drug dealers do not appreciate a drone over their operation. Lots of those in NJ.
#2Law enforcement does not appreciate a drone as we are "eyes in the sky" and relates to #1

Anyway, if anyone knows where I can fly in NJ, much appreciated oe Drones are for sale.

I'm not sure why you believe it is more unfriendly than any other state. I fly in NJ all the time, and was actually flying in Camden earlier this afternoon. As long as you are following FAA regulations, you can fly anywhere you like in NJ.

Thank you Pahntom.
Reading all the laws on line I think I have more freedom with my Firearms than my Drone. Ill take my Chance. I stay away from people, houses and fly in pure Jungle of Mercer county.
I will fly tomorrow over Etra Park East Windsor, follow rules and see what happens. I see posts from other pilots (upstate NY) getting hit with huge fines. That worries me.
Your post brings my blood pressure down 20% , thank you.

It's really not that bad at all in NJ. I was not too far from you this evening. I was flying out of Princeton airport.

Thank you Pilots. I was really disappointed and maybe reading too much into the laws. I am a very responsible pilot and not looking forward to a 5000.00 fine.
My son Is in the Princeton Swim Team phantom so we are family.

This one specifically scared me.

That was a post from someone in NY I Guess.

Lots of drug dealers in NJ? Not sure I've heard this before. Kind of a bold statement. It's not as if there are blatant drug warehouses that pop up on drone map apps that warn you to stay away.

I've lived in NJ for the past 5 years there are countless places to fly.

I too fly around the Camden waterfront a lot. Never had any problems.

I would recommend getting involved in local drone groups on social media. NJ Drones, and South Jersey Drone Underground on Facebook are two really good resources. Look and see where others are going and flying and you are able to get localized questions answered by people in the area.

Hi, where in Camden?
I was right by the aquarium on the waterfront. Nice views of the Ben Franklin Bridge, the Battleship New Jersey, and the Philadelphia skyline.

Absolutely correct!

All states have drug problems and drug dealers. Not sure why people come up with these impressions of various places.

Thinking of heading down there today if the winds agree.

Found a place near some family. Flew there for a while (4 bettery worth) no problems. Not very scenic and I was more nervous about my Drone not being able to swim than Drone police. Very peaceful. LOTS of bug spray needed.
Good place to practice flying as well. I wouldn't fly over the shooting range, some of those rifles are pretty accurate. Circle around. Ill start looking a PA as an option.

Pilots . forgot who but thank you for the suggestion to join local drone clubs. I have done so and working very well. So if you are having trouble navigating the ridiculous laws or finding a place to fly , join a local club.
Not only will you meet other pilots but will help navigate the ridiculous laws and many are layers (they fly too) . Most are on Facebook. Let me know If I can help.
I am in 3 clubs now, that's why I don't bother you so much lately. Helps a lot.

This is not the place for this but I was was informed Camden is Murder capitol of NJ. Never been there and perhaps I am misinformed. Ill pass on Camden.

Agree ! But If i get called out by flying at 40mph over someones house. I question why. You can fly over my house no problem, just dont wake me up.
Different world now. Privacy = Secrecy. All good. I just change flight plans. And its silly because I have cameras that can read your mail 100yd away. Go figure.

not sure where you live that there are “drug dealers“ everywhere? Then you are quick to refer to Camden as the Murder Capital. Does Camden have high crime areas yes. Is there amazing spots to fly drones yes. So the good outweigh the bad.

This really isn’t the kind of hobby one should be paranoid. A cellphone camera is more intrusive than a drone 400 feet in the air.

Thats what I replied to someone that was upset then I flew over their house. They actually chased me down in their car yelling "not cool man". I just landed and left the area. Did not want trouble. But my thought was, something to hide when they reacted that way. I was approached by foot and a group in a car. All goo though. The sky is big.
I am getting better at finding places to fly, more experience. you guys are extremely helpful, the clubs I joined are extremely helpful and I am not so disappointed in the hobby anymore.
I accept there will always be one challenged (cant post a better word) person when we fly. Ill deal with it. I am not so paranoid anymore.
