DRONES FLYING OVER NEW JERSEY

I believe they're using the anti-china thing as a step toward their ultimate goal, which is a total ban on drones. The entire security and spying thing is nothing but BS, and just a means to that end.
And this latest drone sighting thing in NJ and other areas is more BS. Most of the pictures I've seen are obviously maned aircrafts. Any that might be drones are well lighted, appear to be flying under 400 ft, and if they're transmitting RID, are perfectly legal. I don't know why the news and FAA don't tell folks that, to calm things down. Possibly more of that total ban goal of theirs in action. For all we know, they're the ones putting them up there.

I am surprised that an experienced FPV pilot has not taken a challenge to fly near one of these and get photos of the actual drones being spotted.

It's near impossible to follow another drone via FPV in daylight, regardless of skills and experience.

The big picture: Mayorkas said there's "no question" drones are being spotted and that the federal government has deployed resources to assist New Jersey State Police.

  • "We know of no foreign involvement with respect to the sightings in the northeast," Mayorkas said on ABC News' "This Week."
  • "If we identify any foreign involvement or criminal activity, we will communicate with the American public accordingly," he said.
Sure they will, just like they share UFO disclosures with the public.
Mum's the word people.
Neither have we heard any admissions from the authorities as regards the existence of griffins, centaurs, Big Foot, mermaids, and unicorns. What is the government hiding? The American public has a right to know.

Slowly but surely the authorities (and many of the high profile YouTube channels) are walking back their claims that people are just seeing things when in fact these are just manned aircraft and there are no drones:

We don't.
That's the nature of our system.

But it doesn't mean it's nefarious.

No it doesn’t.

In fact, it doesn’t mean anything, and that's the point.

The problem I (and others sharing my view) is there's something between, "we have no idea what these are, but there's no cause for concern!" and, "classified flights are taking place testing the new mind-altering superweapon drone cluster, which is proving very effective in causing paranoia in the population below, as designed".

If the authorities know anything more than, "we have no idea", say so. You don't have to give away any secrets, but simply saying, "we know exactly what these are, there's no cause for concern" would put and end to it.

"We're clueless, but you're totally safe" is gaslighting, and these days most of us are savvy enough to this song and dance to understand the only honest part of that statement is the first clause.

If this isn't fake, not sure what to make of it.

Not unlike other recordings we've already heard but you be the judge:

Right so they make no effort to fly secretly but the feds say they do not know what they are or where they come from. At same time they assure us there is no risk or threat to the public. Those statements cannot be reconciled.
Again with the assumptions. There are reasons people say they don't know: like they know most are normal commercial flights and civilian aircraft. But they don't know if all cases are just misinterpretations of known objects, since some probably are private drones flying legally or illegally - also a known fact, but makes IDing every instance impossible since they can't reverse time and go back to investigate. So they can't simply say "We know what they are." The risk factor is they also know no one has been injured by them and no military installation has been compromised, thus they can rightfully say there's no danger to the public.

I think the problem is

"I don't know what it is, so I'm afraid" mentality

Put simply: If you have no idea what they are, you don't know they present no risk or concern. It would be okay to say that too, ideally followed with, "here's what we're doing to determine what's going on..."

Yes. The federal government has done an excellent job creating and stoking public fear. But, what is your point? That all of this is caused by fraidy cats who need to man up? I have watched the NJ state officials report on the situation and it seems to me their fear for their communities in the absence of any real comfort or assurance from the federal government is fully justified. To be honest, I am impressed with not embarrassed by it.

It's this mindset exhibited by some here that has stoked public fear, together with uninformed media coverage.

Their fear for their communities in the absence of any real threat, is another contributing factor.

I believe that at this point the Media is to blame. This story is selling soap and it will be the most important story to them for weeks to come! e.g. Two people lost their lives today in a horrible shooting. How did I find out about it? It was UNDERNEATH the Story of more lights in the sky!!!!!!! Sometimes you can only cry!

But 99% of the posts I DO know what they are. And they do NOT present any risk or cause for concern. The other 1% is probably camera artifacts, stars, or maybe drones flown for legit reasons. So there is no reason to spend energy on finding out "what is going on": we already know.

Don't know if it ever became a reality or not, but it would do the job.

Wouldn't need to be a net. Just needs to be the most basic kite string.
