I think it would be a good idea to find out what you all take with you when you go looking for a drone? or maybe I should say what do you have ready to go if and when that times comes?

Here is what I have so far:

two- way radios ( cheap ones just in case no cell service in that area)
rope
fishing string and weights
binoculars
bottle of whisky ( ha ha ha just kidding)

and cheap bow and arrow set too I am going to get one

that's what I have so far I am sure I will add more as time comes :)

Last time I lost mine, I brought my wife and a second drone to spot with. She fell into a creek it was January. It's been a year and I'm still hearing about it.

ohhh that's rule number one! don't bring wife with! :)

SCREW IN TREE STEPS (when flying in the mountains), and a Telescoping Pole (Home Depot sells a brand "Long Arm" that is 8ft-23ft) - easy to attach a 10-gauge wire on the end to make a hook. Also, extra battery (power bank/cord) for your smart device if using that to triangulate the location. And a GPS!

Don't forget to thin about how you will carry the drone back safely upon recovery....
