I just downloaded the Dronelink app and paid a $30 subscription for my air 2S. The biggest thing I was looking for is the ability to do way points. I played with it a lot on my PC and set up a bunch of waypoints before I went out to fly. I started my first mission and was very unimpressed with how jerky the video is. I didn’t create a crazy mission just three way points crazy curves. I am wondering if this is a problem with the air 2S specifically and if it’s worth asking for a refund. Any help would be much appreciated.

The controller sends stick movements during the flight. And the aircraft requires a constant connection with the controller to receive those commands during the flight program.Commonly called "virtual sticks". You can tinker with the settings such as yaw/speed to somewhat smooth the jerkiness, but it won't go away

Thank you. This is what I feared. Curious why they did this to the air 2s but not other models. Might just have to wait still I upgrade drones.

I have used Litchi on my Mavic 2Pro and as I recall my Air 2s. The Litchi flights I believe were loaded onto the drone and executed smoothly. Sadly this capability ended with the Mavic 3 and above. Litchi has an excellent Google earth based flight planning and testing of a mission. Others may have more experience and will clarify. Litchi was a very good software solution for what you are trying to do.

Sadly air 2s doesn’t let you load it onto the drone.
