Drones in Turkey?

Hi,

Looking to take my mavic air to Turkey this summer, on my way to UK. Reading all sorts on forums. Very clearly says that drones under 500grams (air is 430!) dont need to be registered (SHGM - İHA Kayıt Sistemi - Directorate General of Civil aviation for Turkey). Also seems impossible for foreign nationals to register on this website present system as only seems usuable by turkish citizens. Has anyone went to Turkey with Drone recently and had any issues going through customs?

I live in Turkey (Ankara) and have asked around a lot with expats and Turks. expats have all sizes and don't register. No issues so far. Turks all tell me to register. I've seen lots of drones flying around here in the city. I think you'll only have issues if you fly near police/military other govt. buildings as the Turks are fairly concerned about terrorist attacks, and rightly so. I also know folks that have brought drones in through customs with no issues.
