Very noble of these guys to continue to stick with and push external RID modules when all the new drones comes with standard ID and many of the popular older drones do not need them. But they gotta work some sort of deal and do something about that $30 shipping fee (to the US). I get it, someone has to play in this space, but it's a losing deal overall. The time to push these out was last year when there was more focus on RID and uncertainty about the whole process (ruling, enforcement, availability, etc). In 2 or 3 more years, who will really need these? Unfortunately many pilots today are likely thinking this won't be "enforced" and will not pay the $100 for something that should have been closer to $50. I would like to have a backup in case my HS kicks the bucket but the prices are just too high for Dronetag models which are ready-to-go.
