In my App i don't see option for dual-band. Only auto/manual. And in manual it is only showing 2ghz ranges.

Running 1.2.4, but i downgraded to 1.2.1 and same thing.

I bet you are using Andriod phone ..... this problem has been reported before. Try switching to an iphone and then back to the original phone. It should solve the problem.

I had the same problem with my Mini 2. I don't have access to an IOS phone (as suggested in the previous response) so I contacted the vendor and he said send the drone only (no RC etc) back to him. He sent it over to DJI for checking. Nothing yet.... Whether it is a simple reset or something more involved it will be interesting.

Funny thing is.. i flew it for first time today.. and now option is showing...

Guess it did not show till it flew for first time.
I had flown my Mini 2 several times prior to the problem showing up.

I hadn't flown my Mini 2 for a few weeks and when I started it back up it upgraded the Fly app to 1.2.4 ver 920. When flying I noticed the range capability had decreased significantly.

I went into the transmission and found there was no option to change frequencies from 2.4 to 5.8. In on the graph it showed I was in 2.4 freq. The Frequency line was not showing and I could not scroll up to it. I tried on 2 android phones with no success. Both of these phones I use on my MA2 with no problems.

It still had the bandwidth option 10 or 20 Mhz.

The channel mode line still had the Auto and Manual option but no option to change the Freq.

I'm running the latest firmware 01.02.0100 on the mini and 02.00.1200 on the RC.

I tried the Fly app 1.2.1 and 1.2.2 as well as 1.2.4.

I could scroll down to get to the bandwidth line but the dual band option line was not showing at all at any time.

I also have the MA2 and have tried both RCs and get the same results. Both RCs work well with my MA2 so it appears the problem is in the Drone.

Anyway, DJI has the drone now so it will be interesting what the remedy is..

I've tried with mini2 and Air 2S and got intermittant fonction. Sometime Dual band available and sometime only 2.4 Gig band, I am using a Android phone. I'll try to get a IPhone from a friend to do the test. Thanks for the infos.

I sent my drone to the DJI associate repair shop in KL they tested it and found no problems. I received it back and I could see both bands and all was well. I assume he reset the drone etc.

If you can find a IOS phone and try that it will be much easier and no doubt quicker than sending it in.
