Dual Screens on Mavic Air 2

Hello pilots..

I'm wondering if I'd be possible to run 2 displays from my Mavic Air 2 controller via a USB-C splitter like this on the link below:

I intend to run 2 leads out of the 1, in order to get the same video feed on 2 iPads at the same time, in case I'm away from a wifi connection and without recurring to a 3rd party app.

I have done it with AirPlay, mirroring to a 60" monitor in my patio while everyone watched my feed in real time.. I must say is pretty cool and can keep everyone entertained for a while.

Pretty sure that isn't going to work. The controller isn't just outputting a video signal that you can easily split in 2, but it's a more complex two way data connection that can't simply be duplicated and function correctly.

The MA2 remote’s connection to the screen isn’t just a matter of displaying a video feed – the video is being received and interpreted by the DJI Fly app running on the device, and that’s what you see on your phone or tablet‘s screen. So I don’t think splitting it would work. But unless they've done something to block it, you should totally be able to Airplay an iPhone or iPad screen onto another screen somewhere else.

? Exactly what I do on a daily basis flying on my patio while mirroring to my tv via Airplay. Will update on wired connection once I receive the splitter.

Does that mean you want to have two distinct versions of DJI Fly running on the different devices but using the single data feed from a controller ?
I'm not sure which one would command the controller in this scenario.

Does that mean you want to have two distinct versions of DJI Fly running on the different devices but using the single data feed from a controller ?
I'm not sure which one would command the controller in this scenario.

I appreciate your input but the app would only work if I am connected to same wifi as the other device for which I intend to cast the 2nd screen to. In case casting to 2 different screens works through wired connection (running 2 distinct versions of DJI Fly app at the same time from single controller feed), only one would be the main (you would have to specifically tell whoever is holding the 2nd screen NOT to touch anything or change the settings).

99.9% sure that's just not going to work - the controller is in constant two way comms with the DJI app - if it's trying to 'talk' to two apps at once (whether the second user is changing settings or not) then it's gonna bork badly.

Two data channels on one cable is also a pretty big no-no for USB, the adapter you link to splits the power portion of the cable, not the data channel.

I have done this in the android scenario, where I have created the hotspot on one phone, this turns off wi-fi.
Then all I have done is to connect the second phone to the hotspot and have used apowermirror on both to mirror one to the other.
No external wi-fi connection is needed just the two devices connected to each other by the hotpsot.

I was also able to mirror from android to IOS using a hotspot

I'm sure is possible.. all most of us want is the easiest way possible without recurring to 3rd party apps or extra devices, but I understand that's only possible between same platforms. If streaming from Android to iOS or viceversa, there will always be an extra step involved ??‍

Apowermirror is also available for android, just have a look at this post, just substitute another android phone/tablet for the Epson BT-300 glasses in the steps outlined.
