what operating system does the monitor have ?

It doesn't as far as I know. The guy I work with was the one messing with it.

We plugged my phone into a USB c hub along with the monitor..i don't remember all of the connections. But we did get the Fly app to show up on the monitor, but as you would expect it wouldn't connect to the remote correctly

I was able to screen cast from my S20ultra to my HP spectre.

Flying with a 15" display was VERY NICE

How much lag though?

Everytime I've screen casted anything there is a touch of lag that in this case would seem like you could quickly wreck your stuff.

This is why I've done it less than 5 times.

The lag was at least 500ms

If you want to avoid the lag time, your best is probably an HDMI connection from your phone or tablet to 2nd display. There are Android tablets that have HDMI out, I would also try a small USB hub that provides HDMI output. Something like this.

But wait. I already have the controller plugged in to the phone, how can I plug something else in?

This is why I mirrored.

The other option i thought of was using an Android emulator on the laptop
