This might be asking too much but I just took a timelapse video but a small branch/twig is really distracting. I'd either like to doctor out the twig or crop the entire top to eliminate that twig. But I want to do it for the entire length of the video. I've attach a capture of a frame and outlined with concepts - just the twig or the entire top portion above the red line. Can this be done in any reasonable fashion. Can it be explained in twenty words or less (just kidding - but not too complex). Thanks in advance76608

Hi,
Yes, you can do can do that in Resolve using a power window and tracking. Results can be excellent. It depends somewhat on what is in the background and its definition but that clear blue sky should make it straightforward.
Here is a good tutorial on YouTube:

Aha. Thanks for answering. I guess the Powers--that-be decided to move my question and I thought it had been deleted. Good to know there's an EDITING subforum.

I will look over the link. I did find a CROP option so lopped off that entire top portion of the video. Watching clouds passing is not quite like watching paint dry but close! (g)

Got another Resolve question but will post in in the proper section this time! (g)

Again, THANKS

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaccccckkkkk!

I admit I am definitely lost in Resolve.

My problem is that I have not figured out a way to zoom the frame so that I can have more detail as I attempt to encircle the errant branch and then, when I did get the darn thing zoomed, I could not pan or move within the frame to see the branch again. It is UP off the screen. So, as I said LOST! How to zoom within frame and then drag so that I can see the branch (or item) off the screen.

Thanks.

Really simple to do in after effects, but lost in resolve. Interested to see how it's done seems as own the software though (only ever use it for colour work, I know waisted!) I'm just a lot more versed in premiere and AE
