Great question, I have both also. I figured I could use the lumes and add the speaker to the top if I’m doing a search and rescue. Both are very good lights and super bright.
Keep in mind you need original Lume Cubes and not the Lume Cubes Air. The Air has a magnet in it. I have an MP1 with original Lume Cubes and in full power they are bright, almost blinding at night.
If you are referring to the M2ED spotlight vs Lume cube. There is a significant difference. We couldn't even see the ground at 20' AGL using the lime cube. Inside a building we got a little more, but with the spotlight, we lit up a 3 story building from 60' AGL and 80' away. You need to try it at night to see, there is No comparison.

They are bright looking into the light, but the dispersement is horrible, plus we had constant problems with the Bluetooth connection. That has been my experience.
That magnet comes right out , 4 screws on the back but it does not come with the brackets so you need the 1/4 thread connector.
The connector is a bit of a hassle to take and off , so not really working out at this point .
I wouldn’t say “horrible” but I am not a photographer/videographer. Depending on how they are angled I can definitely see the ground clearly below me from 50 feet up. Bluetooth connectivity has a range on the upper side of 300 feet but mine instantly hookup to my phone when back in range. Comparing to the spotlight from M2E is apples to apples in forms of a light itself, but apples to oranges by means of functionality.
The lumens on the spotlight is 2800 and it throws much better than even any flashlight I've seen much less than any other light attached to a drone. I just really think DJI should make the SAR UAS with the three attachment (speaker, spot light, and beacon) capable at all times. However the battery levels will be affected greatly. That is one advantage of the cube, it's battery power is separate. The con is they weight so much it drains about 50%flight time. We got about 10 mins flight time with them, which is nothing for us.
My Spotlight weighs less then 3 ounces so you mean the 50% power draws on the battery where as you get a 10 minute flight which is no good for search and rescue so conserving the light until show time is a must. Ok and even though the lux is higher on the Cube , the throw is what makes the dramatic difference being that its 2800 .
Thus most search and rescue is done at 50 ft if possible so that is the winning combination except for the flight time.
Interesting.
I finally got a handle on this thank you.

Our SARs are usually 100'-125' due to the tall trees and areas where we are searching. The 50% less flight time or 10-15 min flight time is from the weight of the cubes. They are too heavy for that platform. You can definitely hear the strain of the props.
