Made a day trip to Tahquamenon Falls in Michigan’s UP. This rendition is a quickie... no complex cinema plays, color matching and music phrasing. Maybe next time.

Just in case you’re not familiar with the rivers in this region, the “tea like” color of the water is due to tannins in the surface water runoff from Cedar and Hemlock trees. It all natural. [emoji848]

Beautiful falls.
I used to ride my snowmobile right up near the falls years ago. Always wanted to take my drone up there for this type of video during the Winter. I was just there past summer in that very spot.
Any issues flying being a State Park? I didn’t see any signs last year, but you know how things can change.
Thanks for sharing [emoji106]

On the drive in from Paradise, I stopped at headquarters and asked. Surprisingly they said yes. But we all think that’s going to change. I was concerned that there would be a lot of people down on the deck, but there was only one other, a photographer. Due to the snow I hand launched and landed.

Lots of snowmobilers at the brewery, but nobody came down.

It was a beautiful sunny day, but I really screwed up and didn’t plan my flight correctly. So I’m going back.

Last year, I flew at Porcupine Mountains, and they said it was OK. There I just jumped the barrier and went away from the viewing area, flying towards the Lake of the Clouds. Never got close to observers. Worked out just fine.

Thanks for the update [emoji106].
We travel in our Motorhome a lot and stayed near Paradise and then White Fish Point. On our way home, we stopped at the Oswald Bear Ranch, my wife’s favorite stop of all time. Not often you get to feed bear cubs and see others so closely. Our next trip is going through the UP towards Wisconsin. Can’t wait for the trip, it’s been a long, cold, winter [emoji300]️

This fall we are going back to the Porkies and Copper Harbor. The Brockway Mountain drive is one of my favorites. No warning zones. Gotta be aware of the wind off of Superior.
