In the last few weeks my Marco Polo would not be flashing at the end of flights, and would not respond to turning it on, but I could put it on the charger and press the on button for 3 seconds and it would then turn on. It would always indicate a full charge so I would use it again, but by the end of the flight it would be non-responsive again.
Since the little tracker has already saved my Mavic Pro once I just do not want to fly without it. I went ahead and ordered one of the newer style trackers, and then out of curiosity I cut the cover off to see what was inside (no worries, long out of warranty) and looky there - some pins mashed together. I am sure it was because of how I was mounting it, I had velcro on that side, and I would mash it down to make sure it was attached good and over time it has mashed the pins together. After separating the pins, all is good now.
Just posting this in the event someone else with a Marco Polo starts having problems like this they can check the pins before ordering a new tag unit. I actually needed two units any way, because I have two MP's and I have been wanting to fly both (with another pic of course - or not, but just saying that so I don't get flamed, lol)
