Finally We Have Precision Landing

It doesnt need to hover. The important thing is a vertical climb with no other movement of the drone until passing 6m or so.
 
Yes - maybe 20-25 feet or so. I did it three times about a week ago. I did have a landing pad. It needs an area with definition. And expanse of lawn or asphalt does not have distinguishing features.

There are suggestions that you don't even have to hover - just lift straight up fly away.

I tested it today and found that if I raise it up a little to about 10 feet and hover for a few seconds I can get it to land exactly where it took off from. If I just lift off and start flying it lands 1-3 meters away. Thanks for all the help.
