Finding a Target

Today I saw an object floating offshore. I could see it through binoculars, guessing, a thousand yards or less. Its size looked like maybe a small seal - or just flotsam.

Do you think I could find it. No.

Three batteries with my Mavic Pro and nothing. Any suggestions for locating distant objects? I hope I didn’t miss a bag filled with Yen floating across the Pacific.

I guess DJI gopgles can help during seek. It is pretty dofficult to spot something on phone or tablet screen or actually focus and find out what it is if pilot has no direct view on that.
