I did read all the posts prior to me making the comment. I did not see any indication that “Karen” worked there. Thus, she has zero authority to tell you where you can or can not fly.

I thought i had posted that she was dressed in what looked like a uniform but she had no ID on show it musty have been in another thread.
She told me i couldn't fly from their car park and that she was calling the police, as i was in their car park i didn't think i had a leg to stand on and i didn't want the police to get involved so thought it best to leave, what would i have gained by carrying on and getting a visit from the police?

I was standing my ground against a rude woman who didn't introduce herself as management or an employee who told me i was invading their privacy, as i have already said it was late in the day on a weekday there wasn't many people there and i was a few hundred yards from the place where they pray so there was no way they could hear the drone.

Ultimately you dont.

If its private land and you havent sought permission the legal default is you cant fly. Doesnt matter if anyone is there or not or whether challenged, legally its not allowed.

(Crown estate is different being presumed access but not private land).

I think the year was 1979 and I was flying my huge bi-plane 72"+, a Bi-Stormer in Wormwood Scrubs open space London UK, where I usually flew my model planes after the soccer field was cleared of players and goal posts. I lived in Harlesden. London at the time. That particular day, I may have been flying higher that my usual height, perhaps 600' or more. While I was flying, from the corner of my eye, I saw blue flashing lights way in the distance, at the edge of the park and soon saw a London police officer walk towards me, when he got closer he said 'Hey mate, can you please bring your plane down or fly lower, they can see you on the radar at Heathrow Airport' ; I said ok and he walked away, no warning, no citation, no fine, no nothing. I believe Heathrow Airport was like 10 miles away as the crow flies. That was the only time, I hence made it a point to not fly too high again. Years later, my newer radio/receiver can read altitude/gps/speed sensors in real time if I choose to install them in any of my model planes. I now live in the USA.

I decided to try my new Mini 3 at the Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre...
Still one of the greatest opening lines on the forum!

The good old days for sure!
