Drove up to Stowe, VT to see the sights. I'm taking pics and videos of places I've gone skiing before the knees wore out. I'm still getting used to the knobs working gimbal movement and zoom so sometimes I move down before I realize I meant to move up, etc. I've got Video Pad to piece together clips and Ill work on gathering them together for my first video that I'll share later. Here are pictures of the Gondola Barn and Trail at Stowe Mountain Resort and a dam in Morrisville, VT.
I didn't use any ND filters but, correct me if I'm wrong, I think a filter would have corrected the "washout whiteness" of the water just past the dam?7057070571

No, you just need to set the proper exposure. See more details here.

I've never done any "real" photography so I could look at a histogram and not know what to change on the drone to correct it... Would adjusting White Balance do the same thing ?

Adjusting the white balance is important too, but that will only allow you to adjust the color. You need to adjust the EV compensation to resolve your issue. You can use the histogram to find the best EV compensation setting for your current shot.

Does adjusting EV affect what the histogram shows in real time to help me adjust the exposure for a good shot?
Can you recommend a basic photography book or article that lays out the details of the art?

I leave the ISO at 100 and play with the shutter speed. Look at your histogram, increase shutter speed to push it to the left; decrease shutter speed to push it to the right. Takes a little experimenting with till you get the hang of it but I think it is well worth the effort.

Yes. You can test it out indoors if you want to see what happens to the histogram when adjusting the EV compensation.

I don't know that any basic photography books are going to help with adjusting the photo settings in DJI GO. You can find some helpful information here.

Your photo problem is simple to correct, you just need to increase your shutter speed and adjust the aperture to about f5.6, and the exposure will begin to reduce or darken, as you increase your shutter speed. If you just remember to leave the f-stop at anywhere between f4 and a max. of f5.6 you will always have a sharp image, as long as you don't have a slow shutter speed.

If you need some more help, PM me. Your images were just slightly over exposed or too much light let in.

FYI, the OP has a Mavic 2 Zoom.

I know this is late but,.. I swear by the histogram to be sure exposure is correct.

I know this is for DSLRs but Histograms is the SAME no matter what camera is being used.
