Ettore,

Did you go to Indonesia with your Mavic?. I am going there soon and want to know your experience with the drone in that country

Yes I've been the First week or january
I made very few flights due weather condition nota so good (mostly raining)
In the most case I Flight without problem at Nusa Dua, Ubud and Tanah Lot too but at Geger Beach some people rise problems for the use or drone.
I meet a russian guy that was flying with a Mavic Pro too and some local people that was at the First Flight with a Sparkle....
Let me know for any specific questions and enjoy tour flights

Hey guys, I just looked into drone laws in Indonesia and if you're using it as a hobby, you will need to fly:
  • at a maximum altitude of 150 m above the ground.
  • away from vehicles in movement, people or large crowds.
  • a drone weighting less than 2 kg.
  • you need to be at least 18 years old.
  • from a fix point, do not fly from a moving vehicle.
  • have a minimum flight visibility of 4.8 km
  • 15 km away from airports (any airport, seaplane base or area where aircraft or helicopter take off & land) & give way to all other type of aircraft.
  • only during day time (no night flight tolerance) & within your sight at all times.
  • maintain a safe distance from any cloud (150 m below & 600 m distance).
  • only one drone at the time.
  • (funny one) slower than 161 km/h & non under the influence of any drugs or alcohol types.
Any outside these rules (or forbidden flight areas) will need an authorisation from the Director General of Civil Aviation which can be reached here [email protected] I've spent a bit of time on this

Here's a full link to the post for Bali drone laws in case this becomes useful for someone.
