Flying a Drone in Thailand

If you google there are lots of companies offering the same for a large fee now.

Think I'll take the Punt and fly without the license. Pay the fine if I get caught.
My only concern with that would be if the Police in their wisdom confiscate the MA because they have a son that wants one.
Greasing the palm with Baht solves allot of problems in Thailand as the Police are on very low wages there.

Oh thank you for “allowing” me to post??. But why ask this question if you can go to the correct Thai sites and find the answer? Don’t forget, translators require an Internet connection??

It IS possible.
I went to CAAT with proof of insurance, copies of ID card, house registration, drone details, paid the fee, and 6 months later my licence arrived in the mail.
No payoffs. All legal. A long time yes, but I understand renewals are much faster.
You can feel good when you're flying legally.

Are you a foreigner or a Thai resident?

What is House Registration? No such thing in the US. They seem to ask for documents which seem to be common in Thailand but not in other countries.

I have homeowners insurance in the US which covers liability. But it doesn't list my drone serial number.

Also asks for visa on arrival stamp, which a foreigner obviously can't get until they enter Thailand.

Also suppose to register with NBTC but apparently can only be done in person. Again, difficult or impossible for foreign visitors coming only for a couple of weeks.
