Flying above arctic circle

Based on my own knowledge of GPS, as well as on some quick research, the well-known compass errors at high latitudes is going to be much less of a problem than the lack of decent GPS accuracy. The satellites' low-earth orbits do not traverse extreme northern areas. You can still see a few satellites way up north, but they will be down near the horizon. More importantly, none will ever go overhead, and you may have trouble getting the minimum 3-4 that is required for even a basic GPS triangulation, much less the 8-10 (or more) that you can get pretty much anywhere else, and which is needed for the one meter (or less) precision that many of us have grown accustomed to ever since "selective availability" was turned off by Clinton's directive back in the late 1990s.

So you may find that the drone will not maintain its position at altitude (beyond the optical sensor range), and it is likely that the more advanced features, like waypoints, will be useless.
