I'll be flying tomorrow in a 100' grid below Class B airspace which is in a large city. I have the LAANC authorization already, so no issues there. Here's my question. I know that outside Class B I can fly 400' above a tall building, but what about in this zero grid? Am I allowed to fly 100' above a building, say? I'm guessing the answer is YES. Thanks. And, yes, I'm part 107.

LAANC and Airspace Authorizations are a hard limit. You may not add structure height to the AGL of the drone.

Thanks for the fast reply. Just out of curiosity, do you have a link to the "rule book" that speaks to this?

That wording will be in the LAANC authorization and Airspace Authorization.

LAANC will say, "Altitude limits are absolute values above ground level which shall not be added to the height of any structures."

Airspace Authorization will have it's own AGL limit listed on the approval.

As stated you can not fly above the hard grid
