Remember this device is intended for saving keys and other small things which you could loose at a key or a boat. MEans the Getterback will show up quite near to you and there it is easy to find.
Actually it's intended for high priced rods and reels. It's small because it's not inflated initially. When it gets submerged and reaches a depth of 3 feet or more a chemical reaction inflates and deploys a fluorescent buoy. Which you retrieve and use it to pull up the drone by the cord. The length of the rope doesn't affect anything at all. The Mavic isn't going to take an inflated buoy under. It's light
