While I am flying the Smart Controller gives me the prosentage of the battery OF THE BIRD on the top left corner.
Is there a way I can see the prosentage of the Smart controllers battery while flying ?

How can I check the condition ( not the charging prosentage ) of my Mavics batteries AND the condition of my Smart Controllers battery ?

My batteries have been acting strange lately and I try to figure out what is going on before I open my smart controller. First it only charged up to 56 % but now it seems to charge full again...
I did not fly for few months and after that the batteries started acting strange ( both - Smart Controller and Mavic 2 pro. )
One of the birds batteries is clearly swollen and I am not using it anymore.

I´ve been obviously Googleing the issues, but it would be good to hear your thoughts on this.

The LED lights Above the screen as in the attached pictures show you the state of the battery. When all are lit up it is fully charged. Frankly, in using my mavic 2 Pro 4 or 5 or 6 times I've never run out of smart controller battery.

I once had my SC shut down while flying, but I only had one light lit on the controller. Never fly when it is that low. I thought I could do a quick 5 min flight, but no. That was scary and right next to a lake. The Mavic 2 Pro flew away to the lake, I thought it was over.

Then it turned back over the trees and did some stuff then flew back out over the lake and then came back and landed itself within 2 inches of where I took off from on a picnic table. Legs did not even drop between the top table boards. Simply amazing.

The four lights tell you the charge level on the SC but be sure to be careful when you see it drop to just 2 lights lit.

For DJI GO4 you have a "full screen mode" for the live screen... meaning that all icons & other disturbing things disappear so you easier can evaluate the motif.

Default you enter this full screen mode by single finger swiping once from screen bottom to top... & exit this mode by single finger swipe from top to bottom. (In the settings you can change from a single finger swipe to a double finger if you so desire).

At the top right corner in the full screen mode you have a mobile device battery percentage (see pic. below), but as you have the Smart controller the percentage should be for the controller.

Try it & see if it works...

Thank you. I will try that out.

Since having problems with the battery of the bird - or the smart controller, I have been flying with an external powersource connected to the Smart controller. That causes the five leds blinking continously, so I can not have any idea of the charging level of the Smart Controller . Strange that they do not put an option to have the charge level of the controller shown, since it is pretty much as important as the battery level of the drone... There is a lot of info on the screen that is irrelevant and I could live without. The level of the batteries on my controller is not one of them ...

When you have an external charging source connected while flying, the power lights will show the charging cycle, not SC battery power remaining. I get at least 6 batteries flying out of one full SC charge.

Maybe you need to replace the SC battery....not a complicated DIY job....check out YouTube videos.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.

I am fully aware of that.

I am just wondering why they did not allow the battery prosentage of the controller to be seen on the display.

Is it not almost as important as the battery prosentage of the bird ?

The display is full of irrevelant info, but one of the most important is missing...

While I am flying with a external battery connected to the smart controller,

I see a row of flashing lights but I have no idea what the prosentage of my smart controller battery is...

I bought the new battery for the controller but I thought I´ll ask the forum before I open the controller and replace it...

After buying the battery the controller started charging again up to 100 % ( Instead of 56 % ) !

Maybe it is because I started to use the controller again after a half a year break. It somehow came back to life...

The batterylife of the controller has always been brillian and I do not remember ever seeing it going under 80 %

even after flying through 4 batteries on the bird. Maybe that is the very thing that kind of killed it. Maybe I should

have been using it and let the battery go down - let´s say 20 % instead always charging it full

when it was down to 85 or 90 % ?

BR, A.

percentage not pro.

Just charge up the controller to see all four lights and then if it ever drops from 3 to 2, land and take it home and recharge. You will never have an issue, if you do that. The controller will easily live through 3 drone batteries and probably a few more, before it drops to only showing 2 lights in that top light bar area.

Thank you for the correction. I am not a native english speaker.

Since I fly with an external power bank connected to the controller, I can not see when the led lights go down to 2 lights.

Only thing I see is a row of flashing lights...

Strange that they do not have the option of showing th percentage of the controller battery on it´s display...

That for me is the most essential info just like yhe percentage on the battery of the actual bird.

Ahhh, well your English is excellent, so no worries. I speak a few languages and also appreciate it when I get corrected on some words by native speakers. As for your power bank use, if you are using that power bank for your controller, then there should never be an issue, because you should have more than enough power to run a minimum of 6 batteries of your drone.

If you were doing that and started, as you should, with a fully charged controller, then you would easily have the power just with the controller's own battery charge, to fly for at least 4 complete batteries, used by your drone. Therefore, just the controller battery alone would not give you any concerns. If you are using a power bank as well, you should never have any reason to be concerned with running out of power.

Why not run a test one day with an almost depleted power bank attached to the controller. Then run it until that power bank dies and see if, at that point, your controller begins to show you its full on lights, which would indicate its actual charge level. It might be that once the power bank no longer feeds it, the controller will show you it's actual charge level from its own battery, through the row of lights.
