Flying The Mavic 3 in heavy Rain and Crosswinds :

I watched a YouTube video showing the installation of the "raincoat" for the Mavic 3. First, it looks really mickey mouse. It doesn't cover the lenses. It doesn't cover the engines and it doesn't cover the camera. What it covers is leaves little holes for the obstacle lenses but I don't see how this protects from any water getting in. Maybe I'm missing something. These look like cheap stick-ons that aren't really worth what they charge for these kits.

For starters, the Motors that are on your drone are Aluminum - Brushless motors, the same motors used in the RC Subs.

The Phantomrain Wet Suits protect the weakest link of the drone the Battery / Power Button / Sensors / Vents and we do this extremely well and under 0.3 ounces. you say Mickey Mouse and I say GENIUS>

There is no Air intake on the Mavic 3 as that scoop up front that looks so Cool is just a nice Cosmetic Touch.

The cooling air intake on the Mavic 3s is the set of slotted openings aft of the gimbal. Air flows into the battery compartment and the area just below the upper shell of the drone where the fan is located.

Yes, were aware, lol , My point was the majority of owners were not aware that the scoop was not open ?
This is why I had to post pictures of the Air Tight Scoop opening for those to see that it could hold water.

I was agreeing with you that that it wasn't an air vent and pointing out the actual vent system.

I wish I could have faith in those drone rain suits. I just can’t take the risk.

Yeah unfortunately I don’t have any faith in them either, wanna change my mind? Offer a guarantee if any damage from water. Easy to say it works, if so stand behind it.

Its no problem , if you really needed to fly in the Rain or had a passion for Storm Pictures , you would not hesitate, to get a Wet Suit or Rescue Jacket.

You do have to understand the Motors are 100 % waterproof to even consider getting a Wet Suit.

Thankfully we have over 20 Thousand clients now that get it.

In a few more years , all the drones will be waterproof but until then this is the best alternative and our results have over 8 thousand posts that are the Truth Slayer on this forum.
