Hey all,

I just purchased a Mavic Pro Platinum. I'm active duty military currently stationed in Italy but visiting Las Vegas for my job. I took the drone out this past weekend to try it out. I will call it a success that I didn't crash it. I've got a lot to learn and look forward to learning from you all.

I guess I do have one question that came to mind, and that is if the DJI refresh plan is worth it. I live overseas at a military installation with an APO box, but I sill don't know if the warranty would cover it as I bought it in the US but live in Italy. Thoughts?

The DJI warranty can only be used in the country where you purchased your Mavic.

Unlike the DJI warranty, DJI Care Refresh covers things outside of product defects (e.g. pilot errors). As long as you can recover your Mavic, you can send it into DJI to be replaced. Check out the DJI Care Refresh FAQ for more details.

You can purchase DJI Care Refresh from DJI here. If it's been more than 48 hours since you activated your Mavic in DJI GO, you'll need to submit a video to DJI in order to prove all is in working order before you'll be able to activate DJI Care Refresh. See more details about that process here.
