I use a 2020 galaxt tab s6 to fly both my mini and my zoom. However, specs say that I don't have a compass. Should I be flying with the s6? I've been doing ok so far I believe. Or has that just been stupid lucky?

What do you need a compass for?
For aircraft orientation to work.

That’s in your aircraft
The one in the phone allows you to see if you are pointing your antennae at the drone or not. I just returned my last tablet for this reason. Without a built in compass on the phone/tablet this will not work.

Ok, so I'm officially dumbfounded. Not a stretch I guess...however, on the subject of compass in devices for aircraft orientation I am stumped. My Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 lite is a model with no compass. So shouldn't aircraft orientation be off? I tested rigorously on the mini and orientation is...pretty much spot on, perfect. Can anyone hazard a guess as to why? I would love an explanation.
