Getting Started

Hi Guys,
I am an avid photographer and am really interested in getting into flying drones. One of my friend suggested me to Mavic Pro or Phantom - still doing some research. Anyhow, how do you get started with flying drones?

I am in Atlanta area and would love to meet and learn few tips and a getting started!

I started by joining this forum and reading every thread. Also downloaded the Mavic Manual and read it through. That helped a bunch. If you want to do photography and have cash then look to the Inspire. If you just want some 'good' photos and vids and just get started in the Drone 'hobby' then go for the Mavic IMO.

And welcome. Anyone that can live in Atlanta traffic gets extra kudos from me.

Had a great meeting with Rob (Thunderdrones). Such a nice person - showed me how to pre-check and fly the Mavic and Spark - we talked a lot of the pros-and cons of each models - So excited to get into this. Don't know why I did not do this earlier!
