Gimbal lock during Time Exp.???

Tried my first TE last night of a city scape. Anywhere from 2 to 4 secs. Some came out good, not real sharp, others trash. Question is, should I have to gimbal lock on during shooting? Thx Bolton

Do you mean you are thinking about using the gimbal lock during flight? If so, probably not a good idea.

No. The gimbal is what's trying to stabilize the camera to reduce the overall vibration. What you're seeing in the ones you describe as trash is a burst of wind moving the drone and the gimbal being unable to compensate for it.
