Gimbal Randomly freaks out.

This doesn’t happen very often but sometimes the gimbal just suddenly flicks up and to the left and then does some weird rolling. It also clicks and feels like it’s putting strain on the motors at a certain point when it’s initialising the gimbal but then is fine and it goes straight. I’ve tried various gimbal calibrations and things but none of them have helped. Is there a solution for something like this?

Some gimbals do this after FW updates, others do it after a crash or hard landing, and still others do it due to normal wear over time on the gimbal motor assembly and/or ribbon cable.

If you ever see or smell smoke, shut the drone down asap.

What can you do for now? If it's under warranty, it's a warranty issue and best to send it in before the warranty expires. They might send you back a refurb, but at least you wont have that problem any more. If it's outside of warranty, I can help repair it.
