I added a little stick to my Mavic Pro gimbal wheel.
It resulted in a much preciser tilt control.

Drilled a 1.6 mm hole and tapped a M2 thread.

Out of interest, is there a setting to slow down the speed of this control? I always seem to heavy handed and harsh!

Then it's there (I have the French version) you can set up 0 to 30 and another set up 0 to 50. Presume it's the speed and the sensibility of the wheel.

Gimbal Pitch Speed at 7 and Gimbal Pitch Smoothness at 20 works best for me.

I've used the stick of an old RC.

Just checked some old P3 sticks they are all female, when you did the mod did you have to adapt the stick by adding a threaded rod into the wheel? Or do you have a source to buy them somewhere?

I would like to do this mod.

I've drilled a 2mm hole all through the stick and putted a M2 bolt through this hole into the gimbal wheel.
You can see this in the picture above.

That's great! A bugbear of mine has been how poor the human factors element of the gimbal is. I also wish they'd changed the axis, from the "x" (side-to-side), to "y" (up-down). Given how critical the gimbal is to the core reason most people buy a Mavic – to take great images – its a painful oversight.

Great modification....I just did mine....it works very well.....Martin should work for DJI [emoji1360]
