Gimble left to right on iphone movement?

No on gimbal, you have to go R/L with left stick

Tap and hold the screen, you should see the marks come up, and then you can move the gimbal up/down and left/right on the screen.

I saw someone on YouTube "discover" this and he was real happy to stumble upon it.

Since I'm not a youtuber it's a lot easier for me to "discover" things using the manual..

You should give YouTube a try. There's a lot of good instructional information NOT found in the manual.

the joysticks will turn the aircraft, not the gimbal...

Sorry, I wasn't clear-- I do watch Youtube videos, there are some very good things to learn (although I've seen many "experts" state incorrect "facts") and I appreciate those that spend their time creating videos for me to watch. Many are very helpful. I meant that I don't create videos myself, so my discoveries don't happen on video. Plus it was a sarcastic reminder that the manual has most (but not all) of the info people are looking for.

I may be wrong but I believe the ability to control the gimbal by touching the screen and sliding in yaw and tilt no longer works if you are in "target scan" mode with the new firmware.
