First I go to a location to fly and my controller tells me I’m in an authorization zone even though I’m at least 5 miles away perpendicular to the nearest airport so then I try to recalibrate my Compass. I tried four times and it failed so I got in my car and I came home Even though I just flew there earlier today in the same spot now my return to home altitude is clear at the bottom 65 feet and I can’t get it to go up so now does anybody wanna buy a Drone Mini four pro this is my second one I sent the first one back Cause it was nothing but problems software failures and now the second one is doing it. I am done with this frustration

lets slowly go thru what you are having trouble with. I can get you going. Thousands of happy drone enthusiast use the Pro 4 perhaps you are doing something on your end ...Its possible, If you can stand just a bit more frustration may I ask a few questions starting with
1. Did you take the T.R.U.S.T.?
2. what place are you trying to fly? Did you consult B4Ufly? are you in the exact spot you were flying in before. you could have been on the edge of the zone the first time.
Tell me a little history of your time with the drone Did you do the setup correctly did you create an account and so forth....was the drone on when you tried to change that setting etc...I promise unless you got another bad Drone and I bet you didnt I can get you flying....

Why did you want to recalibrate the compass?
The manual doesn't suggest recalibrating the compass of a new drone and there's almost never any need to do it.
I haven't recalibrated a compass since 2015 and flown thousands of miles in that time.
does anybody wanna buy a POS Drone Mini four pro this is my second one I sent the first one back Cause it was nothing but problems software failures and now the second one is doing it. What a POS. I am done with this frustration and BS.
Perhaps there is a genuine issue with yours, but given that so few other people have any trouble with theirs and you've had no luck with two, I wonder if the problem might be what's holding the controller?
I have a feeling that whoever you sell it to will have no problems with it.

Don't sell your Mini 4 Pro yet. Try this first!

My son had the same issue as you on his first few attempts at flying the Mavic 2 Pro I had given him. He solved the problem in the following way:
1. He got the TRUST certificate on line.
2. He logged onto "DJI Unlock".
3. He was then directed to the DJI Fly-Safe site, where he was asked to list the areas he expected to fly within.
4. He listed just about everywhere he could think of (including some Australian airports we'll be visiting next year). Anyway, the requested "permission" was granted immediately for an entire year! He has had no trouble since. He expected the process to be tedious and complicated, but it turned out to be very easy, quick, and simple.

Hope it works for you too!

Only been flying my M4P for a few months but it asked me to recalibrate the compass when I was sitting on a metal park bench in the middle of nowhere a week or so ago.
There was no need to recalibrate your compass ... there almost never is.
Your compass was simply warning you that you'd put in an area where it detected magnetic interference caused by some steel near it.
If you see that warning again, look closely and you'll see that it says Calibrate compass or move aircraft.
Hardly anyone notices the second part, but in more than 99% of cases, switching off, moving away from the problem and starting again is the correct action to solve the issue.

Recalibrating the compass won't solve the problem that the compass is warning about, because there is nothing wrong with the compass.

Interesting. I have an Air 3 and have needed to recalibrate it at least 3 times. Maybe I should send it to DJI to have them look at it.

That's impossible to answer without knowing more about what happened with yours.
What were you doing with it?
What made you think that you needed to recalibrate the compass?
