Goggles linking problems

I am having trouble linking my new Mavic 2 pro to the new goggles. When I hit the link button on the drone it drops out the link to the controller. I had no problems linking the goggles to my old Mavic 1 pro, but the new Mavic 2 doesn’t want to play ball. Any ideas? I was able to activate the goggles via my old drone.

Have you tried it with the controller powered on, I just did a link for a mate on the M2 Zoom and it worked fine

Colleague at work had the same problem with his M2P and his DJI white goggles. He could link either the controller or goggles, either one would knock the other off. He tried updating the controller and the update wouldn't complete and he ended up with a controller that wouldn't link at all. He brought a new controller on Friday, updated it to latest software, linked it and now everytime he turns the controller and goggles on they both link automatically. Still dont know what was wrong with the original controller.
