GPS sensor Mavic Air

I recently purchased a Marco Polo RC tracker for my Mavic Pro, Mavic2 Zoom and Mavic Air.... and my beagle when I’m bunny hunting.... lol
I attached the lightweight tag to the side of the Pro and Zoom but the Mavic Air has less options for placement. I’m looking at the top ahead off the rear propellers and behind the front.... it will not contact any moving parts. It will be fixed to the drone with 10lb rated Scotch outdoor hook and loop fastener that locks when wet or dirty.... extremely strong.
My question is..... where the heck is the GPS sensor on the Mavic Air and is the location I want to place the tracking tag going to affect any electronics on the drone? I have stared at this bird for a while now trying to figure a better spot but slightly towards the back and centred seems to be the best location.

Is that towards the rear propellers? If the tag was mounted over the camera/gimbal and centred it would not contact the front propellers. Would this location present any foreseen issues?

It’s an antenna, the Marco Polo is a transmitter.... it looks flat in the picture but it’s actually angled up

Lol.... supposed to have a 2 mile range but you are right... that’s a lot of antenna

Check and recalibrate compass before flying.

Check the sensor readings on the compass first.
If you see an abnormality, then calibrate the compass.
Calibrating the compass is not a cure all like some people think.

The receiver does transmit any signals until it is activated by the hand held transmitter so it should not effect the drone. My receiver antenna is only about 2.5" and the diameter about the same as the drive shaft for the props.
Pic shows it sitting on top of drone... must get round to fixing to drone.

That is about where I am placing mine, seems like the best spot.

The tag on mine is the waterproof/crash resistant version.

Drone is semi retired ...now have Mavic2 ZOOM.
Posted pic of my unit to show that there are smaller size Marco Polo units that might be more suitable.

I also have a Zoomy..... where on your Zoom did you mount the tracking tag?

I also have a Zoomy..... where on your Zoom did you mount the tracking tag?

Purchase my Zoom a week ago and have order this fitting. Waiting for it to arrive. If a camera etc can be mounted here I don't see why the small polo transmitter can not be fitted here. I am going to remove the threaded stud. Pic shows mounted on the Pro.
