Green dashed rectangle on screen M2ED w/ SC

New M2ED guy......using Smart Controller (SC).

Notice when touching screen you sometimes get a dashed green rectangle on the screen. I assume this is to show you where the actual available processor/screen area is. Has anyone seen this and can confirm, or something else?

I don’t think so.

A similar display occurs with either manual focus or manual exposure control are active. The indicator shows the part of the image that will be used for either focus or exposure setting.

Todays flight showed it appears to be the area of IR available on the screen. I can display a spot temp inside this area, but if I try outside it shows the green dashed rectangle.
