Hello everyone,

I'm looking for advice/confirmation the rules/regulations of flying drones in Greenland and Faroe Islands. From my understanding, they seem to be very relaxed about them, barring a few very simple and typical rules, such as "don't fly near the airport" and "don't fly near crowds of people or over private property".

It appears the Faroe Islands do not require any sort of registration or certification. Greenland, however, I'm seeing that it "might"? I have reached out to their aviation authority but have not heard back yet. So I thought I would check here to see if anyone has done it and what they learned.

I am flying an Air2s.

Thank you in advance!

Drone laws can change at a moments notice so its always best to check.
As far as Greenland goes the rules are the same as the U.S. BUT slightly different You cannot fly at night and you cannot fly within 150 meters of any occupied structure without a permit.
When traveling in greenland by air Your Batteries MUST be in a lipo safe bag and NO batteries are allowed in checked luggage.
As for the islands Well....You MUST have insurance, No drones within 5 miles of the Vágar airport. and NO night flying. no permit is required for recreational use. Commercial use requires a permit along with other paperwork.
Seems like you are good to go except at night and the flying close to occupied structures thing may pose a concern.

Thank you, good sir. Good info. All pretty standard for me, with the only difference being that I don't have to fill out a form for each and every flight (thankfully). Appreciate the response!

After Greenland becomes a state the laws will be easier to deal with..and land will be cheap after the ice melts...
