My husband got me a Mavic 3 for Christmas. I am new to drones but excited to learn. Weather hasn’t been cooperating but have done a little flying. It is addictive.

And take the TRUST test to have a copy with you when you fly.

Pilot Institute has a TRUST test portal to take the test.
A few apps worth having are the B4UFLY / ALOFT or AIRMAP.
These apps are free in the app stores that tell you what type of airspace you're flying in and you may get authorization to fly near airports through the use of LAANC.

Thank you for the great info & warm welcome. Have completed both. Will download suggested apps. Now just have to find a legal place to fly once I have the confidence to fly above eye level.
