Greetings from Oregon!

Hello from the Crossroads of America Mr. Iscariot.

where is a good place to start?

This Forum of course. :D

And then the FAA for registration.

I would suggest an open field without trees, etc. and take short hover flights and watch how the aircraft responds to your inputs.

When I first flew my MA2, I just let it hover about ten feet up and away from me while I fiddled around the menus in the app to become familiar with it before I started going further and higher.

I still haven't messed with the intelligent flight modes yet as I'm still learning. :)

Good luck and welcome to the Forum. ?

Greetings!

I agree with the above. Additionally, a "great place to start" is to buy an inexpensive tiny whoop and begin flying it around inside your house. Learn to fly it "line of sight", and then add FPV goggles and get immersed!

After that, flying your Air will be a piece of cake.

Welcome to the forum from the beautiful woods of Maine!
As cyborg says, trees and power lines are your enemies. Start off flying without looking at the screen so you can get used to the joysticks. There’s some practice videos by UAV Coach on YouTube that may help. Fly safe and stay safe!
