Hi Using the mavic air as a standing camera over a long period of time "4 hrs"
have anyone had some overheating problems using the drone like this? I want to know if the props are part of the cooling or will the internal fan be sufficient?

You can use it all day long as a handheld and it wont overheat. The Air has a great cooling fan on it, just make sure the top vents are not blocked so that hot air can come out.

...Would it be a good idea to remove props for something like this, or would that somehow affect performance?

Can't see how it would matter, and the OP would probably feel more comfortable.

Hi I have solved this problem buying Osmo Pocket. You avoid changing and mounting a tripod or handle on MA. Osmo is also recording the sound anyway contrary to MA. Osmo does not have fan so no additonal sound. Osmo pocket you can cary with you anytime. This does not mean I will abandone MA, it is great !!!
