The ribbon is that delicate that I doubt you are that lucky

Video cable might be ok, are in most cases I've seen on here

Is this something I can fix? Easy? Or should I just pay and send it to DJI?

I personally wouldn't send it to dji
If you arnt confident then I'm sure thunderdrones will sort you out

Parts can be obtained from eBay, Amazon or thunderdrones

I would get the plate and ribbon, not changed a plate but it looks easy, ribbon isn't difficult just fiddly

Be careful when disconnecting the camera assembly as I accidentally damaged one of the vision camera ribbon cables

Search YouTube for gimbal ribbon replacement so you know what's involved

Do all the other wires in my photos seem ok?

I just turned on the mavic and all seems to be working and camera seems fine... just can't move around because it isn't screwed to the plate (broken off)?

If you have video then the video cable is fine

It's hard to tell from a picture due to micro nicks in the cables can stop it from working but won't be Visible in a picture

My gimbal looks exactly like that after my tangle with a tree the other day. I'm also looking into what exactly I broke so I can fix it. Good luck buddy, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as I'm sure I'll get good info on the help I need too.

I'm really hoping that's all I need to do. I'm going to tear into it tonight and start investigating how screwed I might be lol. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I can live with anything but a full camera replacement. The wife would have my head on a stick if that were the case.

Same page has both the ribbon and plate $30 upto you if you want to chance it

Change both and have peace of mind

Change just the plate and likely need to disassemble again and wait for another delivery

Since I'm not sure of the level of damage yet, if it turns out I need the plate I am definitely going to get the cable too. I'd hate to change the plate and get it all back together only to find out the ribbon is bad too. My luck is not good so Im not risking doing that to myself.

Damm... so looks like not an easy pop off the broken plate and pop on the new plate kinda fix. Almost have to take the whole thing apart. :-(

if your plate is broke then so is your gimbal ribbon
