HDMI feed to Fatshark goggles

Hi,

I am sure if it not a new topic, so, sorry if this horse was already beaten up before too many times - if there is any possible solution to generate an HDMI feed to use in the 3rd party monitor or fatshark goggles to see the feed from the mavic 2 pro - could you pls refer me to that?

I use a secondary monitor all the time on the M2P, but I use the CrystalSky's HDMI Output to do it.

Good to know... This product is a bit confusing to me price wise - $470 for a 5.5", but, if it works the best, why not. Which one you use? What is the practical benefit over using a dedicated tablet in same size - like why did you choose it?
I just want to minimize my hardware footprint - i have 8 other copters in all sizes from 40mm to 690mm tarot, but never had dji before.
I want this mavic pro mostly for travel, so, i want ground station setup to be as compact as possible.

Just googled this topic a bit - so - this module will not work for mavic pro 2? And there is no similar device specifically for pro 2 model?

The Nvidia Shield K1 has an HDMI output and is a lot less expensive. You likely won't find them brand new though since the manufacturer no longer makes them.

Yep, funny thing is - i just donated this exact tablet to my temple. They needed something like that for Chromecast streaming.
I can get another one but it is also far from perfect - drains battery quite quick and screen is not good under direct sun. But, there are other models also out there, so that is why i asked before what is it a crystal sky device does better than a tablet.

As if it is just a matter of hdmi out - this model also has it:
Dragon Touch X10 10.6 inch Octa Core, as well as, i guess, plenty of others.

Also found other post about using raspberry pi. It is an interesting angle, as it could potentially even do a decoding, may be. Well, i guess i will have something to play with when my mavic will arrive.

I use the CrystalSky 5.5" model for the high brightness it offers and its seamless integration with DJI products. The 5.5" High Brightness model offers 1000 nits of brightness and the 7.85" Ultra High Brightness model offers 2000 nits, compared to 477 nits on the NVIDIA Shield K1 as an example. I do a lot of shoots that require someone's direction for the shots or with contractors doing inspections so I have a 15ft HDMI cable to battery powered external LCD monitor with a sunshade so they don't have to look over my shoulder the whole time. That is a very good point.

What is your take about new remote that was supposed to be announced? Would that be a better option than a clearsky plus stock remote combo?

It is probably safe to assume that there would be HDMI output on it. I can't imagine they wouldn't. The only downside I would have to the new remote (don't get me wrong, I will be buying one) is that you wouldn't be able to use a different device if you need to. I also do mapping and there isn't a good mapping solution yet for the CrystalSky so I have to revert to my iPad Air 2 for those jobs, I just put on my tablet mount and I'm good-to-go.
