HDR question?

I have seen the new Mavic Air 2..it does have HDR video capabilities. My bird is the Mavic Air. Does it have HDR video capabilities???

“HDR” is a really really poorly defined term to a point which I could make a very strong argument that any video can be turned into “HDR.”

However, to get to the meat of your question, no, the Mavic Air doesn’t have any of the features associated with “HDR capable video cameras.” Even the Mavic Air 2 is pushing the definition of what “HDR video” is. The Mavic 2 Pro is the only Mavic so far that has the 10-bit log and 10-bit HLG which is really the bare bones minimum for what is needed to make for what the film and TV industry defines as “HDR.” The Mavic Air 2 doesn’t have that capability either.
