Working from the Fly app.
WP1 Heading is set to Follow Course ('Aircraft heading follows course direction'). This means WP1 to WP2 course the aircraft always heads to WP2?

WP2 Heading is set to Manual ('Applies to flight from previous to current waypoint')
How can that be understood?

What I really want is to point camera from WP1 to WP2 and then take control of the heading to WP3.
Thanks

I will be interested in any response you get.
I finally could make a test.
Heading changes apply from the previous WP to the present one.
So if WP1 heading is set to Follow Course and WP2 to Manual, the course between WP1 to WP2 is in Manual mode.
Same applies to gimbal pitch, WP2 setting is used during this course.
I’ll try today the reverse settings: WP1 Manual heading and WP2 Follow course.

Fly waypoints is primitive compared with Litchi I used to use with the Phantoms.
I still cannot get why SDK is not available for Mavic 3 series.

Now I set headings:
  • WP1 -> Manual
  • WP2 -> Follow Course
  • WP3 -> Custom Heading
Starting at WP1 the nose first turns to North.
Then during WP1 to WP2 course the nose turns gradually to the direction defined by WP1 and WP2 until it arrives to WP2.
During WP2 to WP3 course the nose turns gradually to the custom heading

And answering to my question in the first post "What I really want is to point camera from WP1 to WP2 and then take control of the heading to WP3." the answer is:
WP1 -> Follow course
WP2 -> Follow course
WP3 -> Manual
