Was out flying over the village earlier when I got a warning of another manned aircraft in the area and could also hear it. I was at 103m so dropped down to 59m and switched to the telephoto lens to catch it passing over. Not an easy thing to do when it's passing over at speed. I estimate the chopper was 200-300m in height.
There was no danger involved as the route it was flying was directly over a factory in the village which has a chimney that stand at just over 60m.

The video is short and nothing that exciting if I'm honest.

Be very cautious around other air traffic It Looks to me that you stayed away as much as possible. Whenever you see a helicopter approaching your best option is to land and wait. You never know what those heli pilots are up to. Looks like you had good separation tho. In the U.S. the FAA would probably want to speak to you!

Thanks for sharing. I agree, landing is always the best course of action.

I don't recall ever having my drone that close to a manned aircraft. I would be concerned that if a helicopter saw your drone and it was "too close" they would report it and then for sure the FAA would want to speak to you. So far I haven't had to land either because it seems I get AirSense warning (or Fly With Caution) way in advance and I'm able to lower my drone in preparation but when I finally see the manned aircraft, it's pretty far away. I might have my setting too high/sensitive.
